a traditional climbing axe

what if we combined the iconic stylings of fashion designer, Virgil Abloh and applied that to a traditional mountaineering axe?

glissade is an exploration of traditional materials and romanticized aesthetics reminiscent of beanies, european chalets, flanel, warm fires, and st. bernards with little barrels of brandy around their neck.

Ideation centered around finding the extremes of the form to reshape the functional aspects of a traditional axe, and eventually returning to a more conservative and detail-focused design.
